I´ve been using CorelDraw necessarily for printed work… and now I am discovering Corel Photopaint.
Neat.
For those who doesn´t know yet, my camera doesn´t have flash (as another feature it does NOT have). This of course can only be a fake, because against a mirror the flash wouldn´t have made this clean effect, but still it impressed me -this among other experiments I am into-.
Wanted to share the awe. =)
ps: the rest… the noise, the bad colors, the low resolution etc… are just part of my cam´s special touch.

As usual I was bored at home, no Lucis, Photomatix or similar in reach, only Photoshop. But I really wanted to make some pics pop, so I tried a new way to make a fake HDR. I was impressed how simple i can do it.
This can be downloaded from my website as free action.

shadowbox, errrr… well, the benefit for me is that I don´t use photoshop because I hate it… so finding a tool that´s cool and it´s not PS is a good news for me. =) But if you already use PS, I tend to believe you have these features, or similar, as many more… surely. Whatcha think?

Wonderful! I in fact don’t really like flash pgotography @ all. But this appeals to me. Quite nice, Alieness! ^_^
(Funny, I just went through my CD’s recently, looking for the Corel paint program, but couldn’t find it. All I have is the OEM "Productivity Pack" that came with the PC that I’m currently using. D’OH.

I think in this case the noise adds a desirable graininess to the image but if you want you can use neatimage to clean up noise in higher iso photos (well, if you hate PS, you might not like neatimage either

Nice image, interesting effects. It seems similar to the sunburst effect I have in PSP, although I think this produces a better effect.

warmbucket, you stranged, no? 0-) It´s because this is an alien cam! …Now really, it is an Aiptek. A german cam. In fact I came to realize few months ago that this is not a camera that also records video, but a videocam that also takes pictures. Which explains a lot its odd behaviour (records cool and well compressed video, takes low quality pictures, in comparison, in short. The main fail is the lack of flash) I know the new ones after this model came lot better.

To be honest, I had two options to chose from (it was a half-gift 3 years ago) and between them I chose this one for its design. I love the vintage style. And though it looks plain grey, actually it has a copper like tone that make her look even older.
